Misty City Music Festival

Overview

Misty City Music Festival is Niagara’s newest two-day celebration of rock, country, and good times. It features top North American artists, local food, world-class BBQ, and cold drinks. Duotone, a company I co-founded, partnered with Misty City to build their identity from the ground up. Starting with napkin sketches, we developed a bold visual system rooted in Americana with a playful twist, balancing fun, structure, and flexibility across every touchpoint.

Poster Design

One of the main challenges was designing a poster that could scale across three sizes. We addressed this by using a custom waterfall illustration as a flexible framing device. Hand-drawn from scratch, the layout could expand or contract while preserving the core composition.

SOCIAL TEMPLATES

With the brand system fully in place, we extended Misty City’s identity into a flexible set of social templates to showcase the festival lineup. Custom illustrated badges were introduced to differentiate content, inject personality, and add visual flair, resulting in a cohesive yet dynamic feed that brings each artist announcement to life.
